2 cars bought: BOTH had Smog Costly Repairs

I bought 2 cars from them. When reviewing the car the Check Engine Light did not come on in their parking lot, but when driving the cars home, BOTH cars had the Check Engine Light come on. The one car cost me over $500 to fix, the other costs over $2,000. Upon requesting to speak to the owner, I got a major "run around" and could not identify him/them. Even the person I spoke to, who acted like he was in charge, gave me a fake name because while there a co-worker called him by a different name.
I am in total shock, I put my trust and money into what appeared to be a good price but the cost of repairs and car far exceeds what the cars are worth. "They" definitely are not Christians.
